BMJ Award

Over the moon to see the Gardening4health website and directory shortlisted for this BMJ award.

Looking at the other finalists I suspect I have very little chance of success. However, the real win will be in the wider publicity for Social and Therapeutic Horticulture through the awards process, especially in the Medical and Social Prescribing worlds.

I have to face a grilling by the judges, and will know the outcome in a few weeks. Thanks to everyone whose support for the directory is so hugely appreciated.

The Gardening4Health Directory

It’s slow progress – but I’m really pleased that the Gardening4Health directory is growing and with ongoing contributions from all around the country – beginning to take shape.

Publicity through Instagram, the Medical and Horticultural press, and word of mouth is certainly helping

As in Tier 4 at the start of the third UK lockdown of 2020, Gardening and Gardens have never been so important to people – even at this relatively quite (horticulturally speaking) time of year.

Please keep the suggestions of additions to the directory coming.

Happy Christmas, and best wishes for the New Year!
